Christmas Projects continued

I'm making a little progress on my Christmas projects. All the small ones are quilted. My mom came yesterday and helped me out by machine sewing the bindings on. Now I just have to hand sew them to the back, so that should go pretty quickly. I took the rag quilt I made for my friend to the laundromat, and now that it is finished it looks really nice. I want to make myself one just like it.

Here it is all finished:

Potholder prototype

I love giving Christmas gifts, but sometimes giving the right gift is hard. I struggle every year to figure out what to give my husband's grandmothers. I've given gift certificates the last couple of years, but just can't stand the thought of doing the same again. So after much thought I've decided on matching potholder and placemat sets. Today I played around with what I wanted to do and came up with something I'm happy with for the potholders. This is just an example and not the fabric I will be using for them. This one is for me :)

Another Quilting Post

I should be working on the Christmas projects I have going but I am not. Well I was, and that got me thinking about all the unfinished quilts I have. I can't believe I let it get this bad. I need to get these done. What I need to do is find someone and send these out to be machine quilted. There is just no way I can get them all done. Here's a little glimpse of what I have. They are really wrinkled as they were shoved in a drawer.

Holiday Projects

Since I joined up with the Quilting Bloggers Group, I thought I should make a post related to quilting. l44314376468_9891 Here are some of the projects I am working on for Christmas presents. I have seven throw quilts and wall hangings started. I'm making progress, but have quite a ways to go to get them done in time. Two of them are rag quilts so they will not take too much time to complete. I have two of the wall hangings hand quilted, but the biggest one is yet to get much quilting done to it yet. These are pictures of the unfinished projects.
